Grant Funding

The Eldercare Foundation of Ottawa aims to provide sustainable funding and support to our local non-profit long-term care homes (LTC) in order to enhance the quality of life of our seniors.
Each year, The Eldercare Foundation of Ottawa provides grant funding to Quality of Life (QoL) projects in LTC. Specifically, successful projects must align with our three (3) Strategic Priorities:

  1. Improving Quality of Life
  2. Increasing Support to Families
  3. Increasing Community Involvement in Long-Term Care

The application process begins in August of each year. Applications are due by September 30th. Applications are evaluated and approved by our Grant Committee, which is a committee of our Board of Directors. Successful applicants are notified by the end of October and grants are distrbuted during the month of November.
The Grant application process for 2017 will open on August 1, 2017. Only specific non-profit LTC homes are eligible to apply for funding and will be contacted directly by us. The deadline for applications is September 29, 2017.
